This Privacy Policy explains how Water Eject: Phone Tester (the “App”), operated by Olnikola studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”), processes information when you use the App or contact us.
The App does not require an account and does not display advertisements. Device tests run locally, but the App uses third-party services for usage analytics and purchase management. This means some information is transmitted to those services, as described below.
1. Device Tests and Permissions
Depending on the feature you choose, the App may request access to your microphone, camera, location, Bluetooth, motion sensors, or Face ID. You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. A feature may not work without its required permission.
- Microphone: used to measure sound levels and record a short audio sample for playback. These tests create temporary audio files in the App’s local temporary storage. The App attempts to delete the sound-meter file when monitoring stops and the playback recording when you reset or clear the test. An interrupted session may leave a temporary file until it is subsequently removed. Audio is not uploaded by the App to us, Firebase Analytics, or RevenueCat.
- Camera: used to show a live preview and check camera or flashlight functionality. The current App does not save captured photos or videos to your photo library or upload camera images to us or the services described here.
- Location: used locally for GPS and compass-related tests. The App does not upload your GPS coordinates or location-test readings to us, Firebase Analytics, or RevenueCat. This is separate from approximate geographic information that an analytics service may derive from a network connection.
- Bluetooth and sensors: nearby-device information and sensor readings are used locally to perform the selected tests. The App does not send these test results to its analytics or purchase services.
- Face ID: authentication is handled by Apple’s system APIs. The App receives an authentication outcome, not your facial image or biometric template.
Opening a test can generate a usage event identifying the type of test, as explained below. That event does not contain the recording, camera preview, GPS coordinates, or measured test results.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores local information needed for its interface, including whether onboarding is complete, which app version’s “What’s New” message you have seen, and a launch counter used for review prompts.
The third-party SDKs may also store installation identifiers and cached analytics or purchase information locally. Uninstalling the App generally removes its local app data, but does not cancel an Apple subscription or delete information already held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.
3. Usage Analytics
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand usage and improve the App. Analytics collection is enabled automatically when the service initializes successfully. The current version does not provide an in-app analytics opt-out switch.
Analytics information may include:
- An app-instance identifier and, where available, a vendor identifier.
- Device and operating-system information, language, app version, session information, and approximate geographic information.
- Screen views and usage events, such as which test was opened or which entry point displayed the Pro purchase screen.
- Automatically collected events supported by the SDK, which may include in-app purchase events.
We do not send your name, email address, recordings, camera images, precise GPS readings, or hardware-test measurements as custom analytics parameters. Installation identifiers distinguish app installations; they should not be understood as a guarantee that all analytics data is anonymous.
The iOS App uses Firebase Analytics without advertising-identifier support. It does not request App Tracking Transparency permission to obtain the IDFA.
See Google’s description of Analytics data collection and Firebase privacy and security information.
4. Purchases and Pro Access
Apple processes payments for Weekly, Annual, and Lifetime Pro purchases. We do not receive your payment card details.
The App uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, determine Pro access, handle subscription status, and restore purchases, including eligible previous Remove Ads purchases.
RevenueCat processes a randomly generated App User ID and purchase-related information, such as product and transaction identifiers, receipts or transaction records, purchase dates, subscription expiration, and access status. Its service may also process technical information needed to operate purchase management and provide purchase analytics.
The App does not require you to provide a name or email address to RevenueCat. A randomly generated identifier still enables purchase records to be associated with an App installation and restored access.
See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
5. Support Communications
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. This may include your device model, iOS version, screenshots, or purchase details.
We use this information to respond and investigate your request. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or other information unrelated to the issue. A screenshot or recording you voluntarily send to support is separate from the App’s local device tests.
6. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process information to provide device-test features, verify and restore Pro access, understand App usage, improve the App, and respond to support requests.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the applicable basis must reflect the purpose of processing and your jurisdiction.
7. Service Providers and International Processing
Information described in this policy is processed by the relevant service providers, including Google/Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and the email service used for support. Following a link from the App opens an external service that has its own data-processing practices.
Service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Details of their international processing and safeguards are available in their privacy and data-protection documentation.
The current App does not contain advertising-network SDKs or display third-party advertisements.
8. Retention
Local test data is retained as described above. Local interface preferences remain until they are cleared or the App’s local data is removed.
Analytics and purchase information is retained by the relevant providers according to the service configuration and applicable retention requirements. Removing the App does not automatically remove those server-side records.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage device permissions in iOS Settings and choose whether to contact support or share attachments. Device permission settings control the relevant hardware access; revoking microphone or camera permission does not disable usage analytics.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may have a right to withdraw that consent. You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Contact us to make a request. We will assess it under applicable law and may need additional information to identify the relevant records. Because the App does not use a named account, we may be unable to connect some installation-based records to you without sufficient information. We may need to work with a service provider or direct you to Apple for records Apple controls.
10. Security
We use the App platform and service-provider security mechanisms to help protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in support messages.
11. Children’s Information
The App does not ask users to provide a name, email address, or date of birth as part of its normal interface. This does not mean that its analytics and purchase services process no information.
If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us so we can assess the request and take appropriate action under applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when App features, service providers, or data-processing practices change. The updated policy will show a revised effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
